This verb is more common in Brazilian Portuguese. In European Portuguese, registar is preferred.
Present:
A Ana registra cada gasto em um caderno.
Ana records every expense in a notebook.
Preterite:
O Miguel registrou a empresa no ano passado.
Miguel registered the company last year.
Conditional:
A Clara registraria essa ideia antes de esquecer.
Clara would record that idea before forgetting it.
